Eyefinity – Newest Graphics Technology From ATI

AMD’s latest graphics technology issue, namely Eyefinity. Through this technology, a graphics card can display images on 6 monitors .

In a mat called ‘Experience’ in three continents, AMD said that the technology will be available on Eyefinity line ATI Radeon graphics card for Direct X 11.

In the demonstration, 6 high-definition screen can be combined into one large monitor with a resolution of 7680 x 3200. Six screen can be arranged in a horizontal (landscape) or elevated (portrait).

Uniquely, AMD demonstrated the ability Eyefinity only through a single graphics card. This means, as quoted from Techpowerups, Sunday (13/9/2009), a card capable of displaying a resolution of less than 12x from HD 1080p display.

AMD also has been working with Samsung to introduce ultra-thin bezel monitors (screens with a very thin frame). Screen from Samsung will allow users arrange some screen without too distracted by the frame of the screen.

ATI Eyefinity defined as two or more monitors to display output simultaneously and separately from each other. Support is available that can be duplicated (cloned) and expanded (extended) on some monitor mode, with new support that is becoming one vast screen of a monitor. So that is also used as a workplace, can be used maximally to play videos, play games, or run applications 3D graphics.
